Local works: delivering local jobs and skills recoveries

Wednesday 26 May | 1.30 – 2.30pm

Will a return to the office boost city centres, or could a step change in remote working widen employment opportunities? Will we shift away from online shopping, or do we need new models for our high streets?

Employment and skills levels differed significantly before the pandemic, and the crisis has in many ways highlighted and increased these inequalities. Attention is now turning to reopening the economy, recovering from the effects of the pandemic – and how we can build a better and more inclusive labour market.

This event will explore how local areas can support jobs and skills recovery and renewal, including the impacts of local election results.
