Alongside a range of research, we carried out deep dive study visits with organisations where we explored their pre-apprenticeship programmes in detail, speaking to providers, employers and young people, as well as carrying out observations of learning both in the classroom and in the workplace.

These case studies demonstrate the ways in which pre-apprenticeship programmes are designed and delivered in a range of country contexts. They particularly showcase how pre-apprenticeships can support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to move into high quality apprenticeships.
