In recent years, local areas have been innovating and experimenting with employment support services which tackle local needs.
Learning and Work Institute research carried out for the Local Government Association (LGA) – called Work Local – which has shown that locally designed and delivered employment support services can be effective at tackling entrenched disadvantage, and supporting people into decent employment.
