Skills development on pre-apprenticeship programmes

Wednesday 11 November 2020 | 12.00 – 1.00pm

Learning and Work Institute are working with the support of JP Morgan to identify and share effective practice in the design and delivery of pre-apprenticeship programmes.

Career adaptability and skills development have never been so important in the context of the changing world of work. This webinar focused on how providers can support young people to develop key digital, transversal and ‘learn to learn’ skills as part of pre-apprenticeship programmes. The session included input from a provider in London to give insight into delivering online support for young people during the coronavirus pandemic.

This event was delivered during the EU Vocational Skills Week and is the first of our webinar series to launch our new pre-apprenticeship resources.

Speakers include:

  • Emma Allix, Catch22, Programme Manager for Bright Light, a pre-apprenticeship for care leavers in London
  • Nicola Aylward, Head of Learning for young people, Learning and Work Institute
  • Seana Friel, Researcher, Learning and Work Institute
