This Adult Learners’ Week join us for the launch of the Learner Engagement Tool for Adult Community Learning. We’ll also be sharing findings from our learner voice forum project and discussing how to put learners at the heart of adult community learning.
Based on recent work undertaken by Learning and Work Institute for Medr, the event will explore what adult learners told us about their motivations for learning, the barriers they face, the impact of learning on confidence, wellbeing and progression, and what support is needed for the future.
We’ll also be launching the Learner Engagement Tool – A new Self-Evaluation and Action Planning Tool for Learner Engagement in Adult Community Learning.
Developed with ACL providers across Wales, the Tool is designed to help providers reflect on current practice, strengthen learner voice and involvement, and identify practical actions to embed meaningful learner engagement in decision-making.
At the launch, we will introduce the Tool, explore how it supports delivery of Medr’s Learner Engagement Code, and share how providers can use it to support continuous improvement.
The event will be Chaired by James Owen, Chief Executive of Medr and will feature contributions from learners and providers who have been part of the project.
We hope you can join us to find out more, and discuss how the Tool can support stronger, more inclusive learner engagement across ACL in Wales.
