Care leavers face barriers in accessing suitable education and employment opportunities. These challenges can be financial, but also be lack of support and guidance in how to navigate through the transition from education to employment. The government offers a £3,000 bursary for care leavers who choose an apprenticeship to help their transition into work.
Our resources are aimed at encouraging employers to take on care leavers as apprentices and to raise awareness of the funding available to help employers and training providers to better support care leavers on apprenticeships as well as the bursary for care leavers choosing to do an apprenticeship.
