Our international work

L&W has extensive international networks and contacts across lifelong learning and employment. This makes us ideally placed to deliver research insights and ideas for innovative policy and practice through comparative analysis, learning ‘what works’, and sharing practice with other countries.

L&W regularly engages with international contacts, participates in international projects and in events and conferences organised by our networks, which inspire and inform our own work. For example, in England, our JobsPlus pilots are inspired by an evidence-based, effective approach to employment support from the United States. And in Wales, our work on adult learner ambassadors for Medr draws on extensive learning from Ireland.

Connect with one of our experts on learning, skills and employment – we’re always happy to discuss a policy challenge, research need or partnership opportunity.
